No matter what it is, we tend to get into ruts. And we have a tendency to do things the way we’ve always done them. Why?
“Because that’s how I’ve always done it.”
Trust me when I tell you, “how I’ve always done it” is the kiss of death. I know, because I’ve said this many times and always gotten disappointing results. It doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about your career, relationships, parenting, or health & fitness. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.
So why would we think it would be any different when it comes to having the body and health that we want?
If you want better, you have to change. By definition, if you don’t like the current output (or result), then the only way to improve it is to change the input. If we’re talking fitness, then that would be things like, “add more strength training,” or, “make each meal a little better by adding protein and/or vegetables.”
If it’s health & wellness, then that would be “taking a pure and potent multivitamin daily,” or, “getting one more hour of sleep each night.”
The only certainty is that doing the same thing you’ve always been doing is not going to get you a different result.
Remember, you don’t have to change everything. Just start with one small thing.
What’s one thing you’re ready, willing and able to change today?
