Ah yes, a new year … 2022.
Or is it just a rewind of 2021? You get to decide.
With COVID cases spiking again in many areas, a lot of people are starting to hit the “wall” with quarantine, restrictions, and things being different than they were before.
To which you might say, “starting to?”
I know … I know … I’m over it, too. But remember, we have two choices:
We can either complain about the circumstances OR make the best of the circumstances we have.
One of my favorite quotes is from George Bernard Shaw:
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, they make them.”
My advice would be to pay attention to what’s playing in the background for you. What kind of things are you telling yourself? It better not be: “I’m not motivated to work out,” or “home workouts aren’t effective,” or, “I was losing weight and then the pandemic came along and ruined it.”
- Only YOU get to decide what you’re capable of in 2022.
- Only YOU get to decide what goals you’re going to set.
- Only YOU get to decide what actions you’re going to take … every day, every week, every month … to achieve them.
Don’t focus on anybody else or what THEY think. Their goals are not yours. Their limitations are not yours.
Only YOU get to decide what you want for your body, health, and happiness and only YOU get to decide what you’re going to do each day to move closer to those goals.
Do you.
Believe in YOU.
I believe in you.
