At the beginning of September, I wrote about what it really means to get a “fresh start,” and offered some suggestions for how to get back into a fitness routine. I’m curious, how did it go for you? With the kids back in school and summer vacations over, are you where you’d like to be with your fitness and workout routine?
What about your nutrition?
There’s a lot to focus on. There’s always a lot to focus on. And guess what? Before we know it, it’ll be Halloween, followed closely by Thanksgiving. And hopefully, it’ll be safe enough for all of us to celebrate the holiday season with our loved ones.
But with that welcome privilege comes some responsibilities.
And my goal as your coach is to help you navigate these ebbs and flows in the calendar, so you’re not constantly in yo-yo mode. You see, as a member of this IMpowered community — whether in-person, online, or as a newsletter subscriber — you’re smarter than the average bear. You understand how things change from season to season, and how the demands on us change, too. You know when your “peak seasons” are, and when it becomes harder than usual to stay on top of your workouts and nutrition.
One of the most challenging parts of the year — the holiday season — is fast approaching.
What’s your plan?
Since we’re a couple of months before the overindulgences that come with Thanksgiving and the holidays that follow, now is the time to put a plan in place.
Now is the time to kick your workout and nutrition plans into overdrive. Now is the time to map out the next week — and the next month — so you’ll be in a much better place when the holidays come to an end. You don’t need to be one of the thousands who are lined up to start fitness programs in January, feeling regret about what they’ve been doing for the past few months.
You know better.
You can start NOW.
So I’ll ask, what’s your plan?
How are you going to set yourself up for success?
