You likely already know that your attitude makes a huge difference in the success of your day. This daily success can be anything from a ‘to-do list to managing tricky relationships in your family or at work.
One great way to give yourself an attitude bump is by acknowledging your daily or weekly wins. Why do we take time to do this specifically? It’s actually a super mental health booster.
As humans, we tend to focus on problems, negativity, and such and with social media and news, the ugliness of life can get a little overwhelming some days.
So here is your challenge and the “how to’ steps on making this effective.
1) Take 2 minutes (yes you do have 2 minutes) and sit down in a quiet place.
2) Take 3 deep cleansing breaths; in through your nose, out through your mouth
3) Start writing out all the good things you accomplished today or this week. — To do this part, there are 2 rules; #1 is no judgment and #2 no win is too small.
I personally tend to forget the small things and have a tendency to criticize my wins. Crazy right? It takes a minute to switch your brain to “victory mode”. But when you do, let it flow and keep it coming. I want you to go old school and use a pen and paper for this. No phones. When you are done, review your list, take in all the goodness that you accomplished and experienced.
Lastly, congratulate yourself for any and all wins. Remember, You are part of our community because you are IMpowering yourself to be better, a little at a time every day. Be sure to continue to celebrate yourself as much as possible.
