I wanted to share with you a text I received this morning: “Drop 35 lbs in a month. Recommended by all the judges”
Wow!!!! This is an attention getter. Right? Don’t be fooled. There is a link to click with this text but I did not touch it ( I hope you don’t click on these links either). It’s either an ad for some diet program or a virus to my phone. Either way I don’t need to see it. Why not? 35 lbs. in a month sounds amazing!
It does; but, it’s not true. it doesn’t work that way. There is no “magic pill” – not even if the judges say there is.
I know, bummer coach. I was hoping for better news. Ok, here is some good news. Dropping weight can be “magical” and it can happen reasonable quickly if you follow the process. It’s the tried and true formula, and you already know what it is:
1- Add veggies to every meal in some form.
2- Add protein to every meal
3- Drink half your body weight in water
4- Stop eating 2-3 hours before your sleep time to let your body digest and use your last meal
5- Keep your meals smaller (almost half of what you normally eat) so they can be used instead of stored as fat for energy later
6- Eliminate sugars which also equates to eliminated baked goods and high carb foods
7- Exercise daily with a coach for motivation, proper form, efficiency, and best of all massive results
This is the magic. So Ignore the claims of massive amounts of weight loss. It sounds good but it’s usually not healthy and also not sustainable.
Remember our goal is to make small sustainable changes to live a better life. Who wants a better life from mental, emotional, and physical health?
I do. You with me?
