So here we are…late 2020 already, Wow! Coming out of summer, even though it’s still really hot and humid, kids are going back to school, one way or another, and your work may or may not be from home or a combo of both. No matter what it’s time to get back to a regular schedule.
This is good!
As your coach I would like to know how you did this “irregular” summer with your overall health, fitness, diet, and weight gain or loss. Most of our group says they have gained weight and/or lost muscle and their eating habits have done a back slide. Not necessarily a full slide but a back slide none the less. But the good news is that most of them kept coming to Zoom fitness to stay up on workouts and calorie burn for an offset. If you stayed dialed in and focused, great job. If not, here is some good news for you, it’s really not hard to get back on track by keeping it simple.
Too many people try a full diet change, a new extreme workout plan, and an “all of nothing” attitude. Let’s be honest and real for a minute. You didn’t fall back all in one day and you won’t get it all back in one day. Most of the time, “all or nothing” ends up at nothing. It will take a plan. A simple to follow, mental and physical plan.
Here are 3 steps to keep it simple and get back on track for lasting results.
- Mindset – Start your day with gratitude. Be grateful for your willingness to make a long term change, one step at a time with loving patience for the process. Second gratitude is for your body as it is today. It is your glorious temple. No negative judgement. It is an ever changing machine. It will love you as you continue to show it love.
- Physical – Set your workout as a non-negotiable meeting with yourself at least 3-4 times per week. Set it, keep it, and make it happen, No Excuses. And keep it to 30 minutes. We both know you have 30 minutes for workout.
- Attitude – . Lots of events happen that are not within your control…but you control how you respond and that response is what ultimately will lead to the outcome…good or bad.
Bonus Tip:
Take Action – The best plan is only a plan until it’s put into action. Only then will you begin to see and feel results that you desire.
