I wanted to share this one consistent coaching step that I give everyone. Whether losing weight, gaining strength, changing habits or mindset: Take small steps.
There it is! The magic process. No really. It works and here is why. Over time every small step is compounded and added together to make a large impact. When you learn how to have a system of small habits that multiply, you create a lifestyle! This lifestyle is a massive goal, sustainable for the long haul and contagious to others. You can think of this as a bank account. You make a small deposit every week, every month for a year. Each deposit grows into a larger total balance and earns more interest until you have a happy moment at the end of the year seeing how large your bank account has grown. Huge reward for staying persistent with your deposit habit.
Health and weight loss can be the same. Most people, myself included, like to start a program and a week later want to jump on the scale and see a ten-pound weight drop. Not likely. Keep in mind, .the scale is NOT your friend or your coach for weight loss or motivational support. There are so many other factors that are far more important. Resist the temptation and stay off the scale. You will know when you make progress.
If you made one small change per week, let’s say you ate more veggies and cut out refined sugar. Then added a little more cardio and a short weight circuit and so on, you will see an amazing transformation happen far beyond just some weight loss. It’s the small daily victory that will have lasting change for you physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This is a tried and true system of making any life lasting change. Keep growing your health and happiness bank account until it overflows, and you have an amazing new change that becomes part of who you are.
