Do you have time for a workout today? Yes, you do!
One of my business coach/mentors shared some info with me about time management and I want to offer a couple of things to you to help you be successful in your day. No doubt you hear it or say it, “I don’t have time.”
Yes, I say it too. Then I think to myself “do I not have time, not making time because this isn’t a priority, or do I need to wiggle my ‘things to do?'”
Think about this one concept.
Go through your day with intention and urgency. This does not mean rush or hurry through it without focus. It means get after it and get things done. Here is an example: if you have 3 things to do on your list today, it will likely take you most of the day to get them done, right? You will find tons of other things to distract you and fill the time gaps.
Now think of a time when you were going on vacation and had 20 things to do before leaving at 11:00 am – And got every one of them done.
Why is this? Time management, focus, and intent.
I will talk more about time management in general in another post. Today let’s keep it to you taking care of yourself with fitness and exercise.
Here are 3 key tips to ensuring you get your workout done!
- Plan a time to do it. Put it on your calendar and mark yourself as busy. Don’t let anything else bump this slot. This is important for self-care, total health, stress management, etc.
- Keep your time short and manageable. You can bust out a killer workout, stress-reducing brisk walk, yoga, whatever you choose, in 30 minutes. If you make time for more, great!
- Don’t make any excuses! Keep your focus on your health and don’t let your fitness fall down on your priority list. Put it at the top. If you are not feeling energized, healthy, and strong physically, then your mental toughness will also suffer. I guarantee this. One follows the other.
To help ensure you have no excuses, here is a link to a ‘No Excuse 4- minute workout video’. This is a basic circuit for all levels. I am coaching you through the workout and working with you. You can make this an 8, 12, 16 minute or more workout by repeating the circuit.
No matter how you choose to do it, there is no excuse to not get it done. No equipment, at home, minimal space. Go!!!
Email or text me back and let me know what your workout was today.
